I’m trying something new this week, minimizing visual excitement on my phone’s screen. Apps are primarily accessed by search, reducing mindless scrolling and use. Mindful is deciding which app to use, searching, and using it rather than being enticed as I scroll through.
Most apps don’t allow you to change their icon, so I created Shortcuts that open the corresponding app and let me create a more consistent icon.
The crucial apps that reinforce positive habits are most easily accessible.
